Here is what Lily has been up to this month…
Lily has successfully learned to grab her toys and hold onto them. She now brings anything that is in her hands up to her mouth and sucks or chews on it.
Lily has found her thumb! She takes after her mama and loves to suck on her thumb. We are trying to prevent this from becoming too much of a habit but she really does love it and I have to admit she looks pretty cute doing it.
Lily let out her first laugh! We had to work hard for it but she laughed and it was the sweetest little laugh ever. She doesn’t laugh very often yet but she will usually laugh at Austin when he is being goofy with her.
Lily has graduated from the swaddle and now sleeps through the night without being swaddled. Austin and I were so happy to say goodbye to the swaddle. Lily is a strong little baby and found her way out of even the tightest of swaddles so we were frequently re-swaddling throughout the night.
Lily loves books and story time. She sits so quietly with me while I read to her and she just stares at the pictures and tries to turn the pages for me.
Lily has been blowing raspberries for a while now but recently with the extra saliva and drool she has been producing she spits at you while blowing the raspberries. She, of course, thinks our reaction to the spit is so funny and will always give us a good giggle afterwards.
After transitioning Lily from her swaddle we decided it was time to drop her late night feeding that was typically between 9:00 – 10:00. As of two nights ago, Lily slept a full 12 hours straight without waking up once and then repeated it the next night! It was pure bliss!
